FAQs

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a powerful, evidence-based approach designed to help individuals process and overcome traumatic memories. Through structured sessions, EMDR helps to reprocess distressing experiences, facilitating healing and reducing the emotional charge associated with these memories.

  • Both EMDR and psychedelic-assisted therapy offer unique benefits. EMDR is effective for processing traumatic memories and reducing symptoms related to past trauma. Ketamine assisted psychotherapy may be beneficial for those seeking rapid relief from severe symptoms or looking to explore deeper emotional and psychological issues. During your initial consultation, we’ll assess your specific needs and discuss the most suitable approach for your healing journey.

  • Psychedelic-assisted therapy with Ketamine involves using Ketamine in a controlled, safe, and therapeutic setting to help address mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Ketamine has shown promise in providing rapid relief from symptoms, and when combined with psychotherapy, it can enhance emotional breakthroughs and support deeper healing.

  • The frequency of therapy sessions depends on your individual goals and the therapeutic approach used. For EMDR, weekly or bi-weekly sessions are common, while psychedelic-assisted therapy may involve fewer sessions but with more intensive focus. We’ll work together to create a schedule that aligns with your needs, progress, and budget.

  • Session rates depend on clinican and vary from $145-$275. You can see a full breakdown of our pricing here.

  • We are out of network providers, which means we do not bill your insurance company directly but will provide a receipt for the sessions you paid for. You can submit this to your insurance provider for any out of network benefits you may have and they will issue a reimbursement check. We recommend contacting your insurance company before beginning therapy to find out what your out of network benefits are.

  • Preparing for psychedelic-assisted therapy involves a few key steps. We’ll guide you through preparation techniques, including setting intentions and understanding what to expect. It’s also important to be open and honest about your mental health history and any concerns you may have. Our goal is to ensure you feel supported and ready for the therapeutic experience. We connect you with a prescriber for your medication prescription which you will set up outside of therapy time.

  • Everything is virtual! We’ll do an initial consultation either on the phone or online and then set up weekly appointments on Zoom. • Your first will be a bit more structured and formal than the following sessions. We'll work together to understand your unique needs and goals. We’ll also discuss your background, current challenges, and explore which therapeutic approaches might be the best fit for you. Whether you're interested in EMDR or psychedelic-assisted therapy, we'll ensure you feel informed and comfortable with your next steps. It can be a lot talking about so much of your history in such a short time, so we recommend giving yourself time after the session to rest.

  • That’s completely up to you! Some people thrive on accountability and targeted interventions - if that sounds like you, great! Homework is never a requirement, nor is it something we’ll push on you if it’s not your style. Regardless, we’ll work on building up coping skills in session together, which you can practice as much as you like at home.

  • Therapy is work and there’s no easy, fix-all solution. We’ll work together to make a plan that ensures you’re getting exactly what you want out of therapy. This is your time. You can also ask yourself these questions: Am I experiencing more joy? Do I have fewer conflicts? Am I able to make decisions with greater confidence and ease?
