As a consultant and workshop leader, Julie Goldberg, MA, LPC, LAC, has helped schools, organizations, and other groups grow through guided lectures, seminars, curriculum evaluations, and in-depth training.

She’s collaborated with the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation and the Yess Institute to lead substance-use prevention workshops and served as the Substance Use Prevention Curriculum Trainer for Denver Public Schools

CERTIFIED TRAINER

  • Curricula designed by the YESS Institute to educate middle and high school students about substance use and misuse issues they are (or will be) confronting and equip them with the tools they need to address these challenges and make healthy choices for themselves.

  • Sources of Strength provides exceptional training and curriculum for youth and adults, utilizing a strength-based and upstream approach to mental health promotion and prevention of adverse outcomes like suicide, violence, bullying, and substance misuse.

  • Teen Intervene is designed as a comprehensive screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment (SBIRT) model of care. Teenagers who have experienced mild to moderate problems associated with alcohol or drug use work one-on-one with an addiction treatment counselor to identify and, ultimately, change their choices and behaviors.
